May 2010	SCILLS Programme Leader elected a Fellow of The Royal Society Ron Hay, Honorary Programme Leader in SCILLS, has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the characterisation of the process of SUMOylation and the understanding of its role as a biological control mechanism.
March 2010	Philip Cohen named as the world's most quoted biochemist Philip Cohen has been named as the world’s most quoted biochemist over the past 10 years in a survey that also identifies a colleague as among the top 20 in the field globally.
March 2010	US Life Sciences firm invests £3M to create new company in Dundee Stemgent, Inc., an American biotechnology company, has announced the formation of a new company based in Dundee - Ubiquigent Ltd. As part of the agreement, Stemgent will invest approximately £3 million ($4.7 million) in the new venture over the next three years.
